Revered for her healing powers, the Elder tree offers a delicious berry that when made into syrup can not only keep us well... but can offer up one hell of a cocktail!
1/4 oz Elderberry Syrup
2 oz whiskey (we prefer Toki)
4 dashes Dugan and Dame Morning Wood Bitters
Expressed Orange Peel
Garnish: Star Anise

In a mixing glass combine elderberry syrup, whiskey, and bitters. Stir until chilled. Strain into a rocks glass over fresh ice and express and orange peel over the top of the cocktail. Garnish with star anise and serve.
